Based on data from the Ministry of Public Works and the National Institute of Statistics, the year 2018 witnessed remarkable results in the Spanish property market. A total of 557,919 residential properties were sold (excluding public housing sales), marking the highest figures in the past decade. Among these, 50,875 were newly built properties, and 507,044 were resale properties. This impressive performance indicates a notable 9.4% increase compared to the previous year. Furthermore, the positive trend in sales continued into January 2019, showing a sharp upturn in the market.
